Th day for “No Ghana Card, No Banking” Has eventually arrived.
The day that one is expected to update their Bank Account details with the Ghana Card which is also known as the ECOWAS Identify Card.
Bank of Ghana (BoG) issued a directive that mandates All Banks across the country to use only the Ghana Card in identifying their customers before transacting business with them.
This directive was made to curb fraudulent activities and also a step towards digitalisation.
Starting from today, 1st July 2022, is required every Ghanaian link their Ghana Card to their respective Bank Accounts in other to continue transacting, failure to do impedes the customer from doing any form of transaction with any bank in Ghana.
Therefore, most of these Banks have launched online platforms to enable Their customers update and or link their Ghana Card to the Account.
